Government Release Figures for Feed In Tariff and Renewable Heat Incentive

On February 1st 2010 Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband announced the feed-in tariff (FITs) levels and also published a blueprint for a similar scheme to be introduced in April 2011 to incentivise low carbon heating technologies. The renewable heat incentive (RHI) will be a world first.
From April 1st an average semi with a south facing roof installed with 10sqm of solar PV panels will get a cashback sum of £1,350 for generating electricity for use in the home (and any electricity generated but not used in the home can be sold to the grid to bring in more money)
The proposed figures for the RHI mean that from April 2011 a 3sqm solar thermal collector panel will provide up to 70% of your hot water for free and give you cashback of £350 per year.
For a wood pellet boiler, the figures announced mean that the Government pays
you back 160% of the fuel cost for every kilogram of pellets you burn - Free heating, free hot water and cash in your pocket !
Photo Voltaic - the Ultimate in Green Investments
Wood Pellet Heating
Sunlight is all you need to get electricity from Solar
Photo-Voltaic panels.
It is an unlimited resource that's never going to run out.
Although more electricity is produced on sunny days they work
well on overcast days too. With the new Feed-in-tariffs
announced under the Governments Clean Energy Cashback scheme
there has never been a better time to invest in a solar PV
system.
Wood Pellets are the latest renewable fuel
to hit the UK market. This carbon
neutral heating fuel has been
widely used throughout Europe and America for many years. The
pellets are made of compressed sawdust, mostly manufactured from
waste products from sawmills and other wood processing
industries. No chemical additives are needed, the natural lignin
of the wood itself serving as a binder, although sometimes small
quantities of vegetable oil are added as well, as a lubricant
for the pellet moulding process. There are an increasing number
of pellet manufacturers in the UK as more and more wood
converters see a growing demand for this fuel made out of what
is essentially their waste product
Grey Water & Rainwater Harvesting
Grey Water or Rainwater Harvesting is an
eco friendly way of using rainwater for
applications such as flushing toilets and garden watering. Water
is collected in underground tanks , filtered and then pumped up
to the surface to be used to flush toilets or water your garden.
In times of lack of rainfall the system has an automatic fill
valve to refill the system to enable you to flush your toilets
Every time you switch on an extractor fan or open a window
valuable heat goes out of the window and pollen and dirt comes
in. At New Age Energy we can fit whole house ventilation systems
that extract heat from bathrooms and kitchens and heat incoming
fresh filtered air back into your premises. Saving you money and
giving you cleaner air.

Under floor Heating Systems
Under floor heating systems are an
essential element to an eco friendly
house or building, they have the great advantage of running at
lower temperatures saving you money and they
retain the heat for a longer period. Under floor heating is
ideal for running off renewable energy , wood pellet boilers and
thermal stores. It has the advantage of leaving wall space free
and no pipe-work is exposed.
